Ayani Colston
June 1 2022
I, Ayani Colston, am pleased to have been awarded a scholarship by the Carter-Parramore High Scholarship Fund. As a high school student, I was involved in Varsity Cheerleading and Student Government. I also had an opportunity to participate in Upward Bound at Florida State University. In addition, I have worked at McDonalds and the Riverchase Health and Rehabilitation Center. I have an interest in children and, as a result, have selected working with children as a career goal. My experience of working with others has led me to explore issues related to mental health issues in children. This interest has led me to pursue a degree in child psychology and psychiatry. It is my desire to change the world by assisting children before they go into the world.

I am Evoni Jenkins and I am pleased to have been awarded a scholarship by the Carter-Parramore High Scholarship Fund. While in high school, I participated in Track and Field, Volleyball, and Flag Football, as well as Student Government. During the summers, I was a member of the 21st Century Summer program. I also took classes at Tallahassee Community College under the dual enrollment program and was awarded an AA degree in June 2022. I find that my passion is mathematics. I recognized the love of the subject at a young age, and I want to use that passion for mathematics to earn a degree in accounting. After my time at FSU, I also want to continue my studies and earn a master’s degree. I goal is to use my knowledge and bring to my community information about financial literacy and to ensure that future generations will benefit from my achievement.
