Scholarship AWARDS
Two types of awards will be made. One award amount of $5,000 will be given to students who enroll in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and Mathematics) discipline. A second award amount of $2,500 will be given to students who enroll in liberal arts, business, education, journalism or the health sciences. For the selected student(s), the scholarship funds will be forwarded directly to the college/university in which the student enrolls. The scholarship will provide support for two (2) semesters of study. The student must maintain a "B" average at all times.
ELIGIBILITY

Be a senior who will graduate from Gadsden County High School in May 2024.

Have a 3.2 non-weighted GPA or better.

Must qualify for financial aid as determined by the US Department of Education Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Complete and submit an application that includes an essay of between 500 -1,000 word that states the selected career choice, the reason for the career choice and the anticipated contribution to the profession, as well as a copy of your high school transcript signed by the principal.

Arrange to have forwarded with the application three (3) letters of recommendation, that includes at least two (2) from instructors; Provide an acceptance letter from a 4-year college/university.

Be accepted and enrolled (full-time) at an accredited (not-for-profit), public, or private 4-year college/university.

You should download/print the application that is posted on the website. (Submit via email to cpha.scholarshipfund@gmail.com).

You may type or write legibly to complete your application.

If a response to an inquiry does not fit within the space allocated, continue your response on a blank sheet of paper. Write your name at the top of the page, then the number of the item and the specific question being answered. Continue your response as necessary. Number the additional page(s) consecutively as necessary.

You should obtain an official copy of your transcript from the school, have it signed by the principal, and include the signed transcript when submitting your application.

On a separate sheet of paper, which you will provide, write an essay between 500-1,000 words that outlines your career choice, the reason for your career choice, and the anticipated contribution to the profession.

Write your name and address on the Recommendation Form and forward the form to the persons from whom you have requested recommendations. Three letters of recommendation are required.

When you have competed your application, you should scan it and the supporting documents. You should email your

Your application should be postmarked by midnight April 5, 2024.

You will receive a notice via email or in the mail to acknowledge receipt of your application.

You should follow-up with the persons who are submitting letters of recommendation on your behalf and that the letters should be mailed and postmarked by April 5, 2024.
